Craig-y-Nos School is one of the longest established independent schools in Wales. Founded in 1920 as
a boys' preparatory school, it has evolved in more recent years into an independent primary school
educating boys and girls from the age of 2 - 11.
In 1983 the school moved from its central Swansea location to the delightful rural setting
of Clyne Common, at the entrance to the Gower Peninsula and an area of outstanding
natural beauty. It now stands on a three acre site on the B4436 between Mayals and Bishopston,
approximately five miles west of the city centre. (National Grid reference: 594 894)

The school operates a minibus service, using its own vehicles and drivers, and is able to collect
children from all parts of the city.
The school has four departments:
- Playgroup for aged 2 and over.
- Nursery where the child is four that academic year.
- Infants three classes for children aged 5, 6 and 7.
- Juniors four classes for children aged 8, 9, 10 and 11.
All ages have access to our Early and Late school facility, which operates from 8:15 - 5:25,
Monday to Friday.
